NSS Fellow Tim Cherry currently has a retrospective of his work on view at Evangel University in Springfield, MO. Titled Arrangement of Shapes and Lines: A Retrospective Show , Cherry has bronze, stainless steel, stone and terracotta works on display.  Cherry’s art career began as a wildlife guide in the Yukon, Northwest Territories and British Columbia when he was just a teen.  Guiding soon led him to taxidermy, which eventually led Tim to Forest Hart, noted taxidermist and manikin sculptor living in Maine. It was Hart who introduced Cherry to the fine art of sculpture which would become his life calling.  From 1989 – 1992 Cherry relocated to Loveland, Co to work in the studios of NSS Fellows Dan Ostermiller, Fritz White, Kent Ullberg and Garland Weeks, all the while learning the foundry practice and the bronze casting process.  Since the early 90s, Cherry has kept a home and studio in Branson, MO.

The show runs through March 10 at the Barnett Fine Arts Gallery within Evangel University.
