Sculpture Exhibitions
The Allied Artists of America presented awards for works in its 103rd Annual Exhibition. Several NSS members were recognized:
All in a Day by Lee Hutt – Montana Memorial Award
Perfect Fit by Gwen Marcus – Technique/Skill Award
Miss Me by Joy Kroeger Beckner – Lindsey Morris Memorial Award
Other works in the exhibition include My Story by Esther Lo, The Pretense of Knowledge by John Belardo, Otterly Playful by Cathy Ferrell, and Swans at Freezeout Lake by Sherry Salari-Sander.
The Bighorn Rendezvous started August 5th with forty-six artists creating works inspired by the Bighorn Mountains and the grounds of the Quarter Circle A Ranch. The works were featured in a month-long exhibition in the Jacomien Mars Reception Gallery and the S.K. Johnston, Jr. Family Gallery until September 5th. One of the awards, the President’s Choice Award, went to Rosetta for her Breaking Trail.
Cynthia Consentino has a one-woman show at GalleriE CHIZ in Pittsburgh, PA. Fifty-seven of her painted ceramic works are on display through October 15th. Sculpture Review magazine featured Consentino in its Summer 2015 issue.
Garrett Masterson, whose work Undercover Hawk is in NSS’ 83rd Annual Awards Exhibition, has a one-man show at Fig Tree Gallery in California. The self-titled show features Masterson’s newest ceramic pieces and runs through October 2nd at the Fresno venue.
