Penelope Jencks

Penelope Jencks has written a memoir about her experiences sculpting the Eleanor Roosevelt Memorial on the upper west side in New York City. Titled “Eleanor Roosevelt on Riverside Drive, ” the book recounts the highs and lows of the project from inception to installation in 1996 and is taken from the journals Jencks kept while sculpting the former first lady.
