NSS Elected Member LeRoy Transfield won the U.S. Mint design competition for the 2018 World War I American Veterans Centennial Silver Dollar.  The obverse side of the coin, “Soldier’s Charge,” depicts an almost stone-like soldier gripping a rifle.  The reverse is titled “Poppies in the Wire,”  and features poppy blossoms with barbed wire entwined.  Read more about Transfield and the design of the coin HERE and HERE.
