Birds in Art at Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin opens on September 10th. This 41st annual exhibition celebrates avian marvels through fresh interpretations in original paintings, graphics and sculptures. All works have been created within the last three years by 112 artists from throughout the world. Among the exhibiting sculptors are Gene Reineking, Todd Wohlt and Walter T. Matia. The exhibition runs through November 27th.
The Big Horn Rendezvous Art Show & Sale takes place in Big Horn, Wyoming. The event started August 5th with forty-six artists creating works inspired by the Bighorn Mountains and the grounds of the Quarter Circle A Ranch. The works are featured in a month-long exhibition in the Jacomien Mars Reception Gallery and the S.K. Johnston, Jr. Family Gallery until September 5th.
Babette Bloch has work at the Brattleboro Art Museum in Brattleboro, VT. Her large-scale Magnolias and Egrets grace the museum grounds. The works will be on view through September 23rd.
Art and the Animal: The Society of Animal Artists 56th Annual Members Exhibition opens September 26th at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Joseph Digangi, Gerald Balciar, Sandy Graves, Colleen R. Cotey, and Kent Ullberg are just a few of the exhibiting sculptors. The show closes on January 1, 2017 and then travels to the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum in Oradell, NJ.
