Brian Keith
In June 2018, the city of Riverton, Utah unveiled Brian Keith’s Majestic.
The bronze eagle has a 13′ span from wing-tip to wing-tip, yet it is actually 20′ if the wings were outstreched. Artwork Foundry in Berkeley, California cast the sculpture, which honors the men and women who serve in Utah’s Fire, Police, and National Guard. Keith attened the unveiling, which was part of a larger opening of the Mountain View Village development.
For Keith, fine art has been a lifelong pursuit. In 2005, Keith received the first important commission of his career: a bronze portrait bust of former President Reagan that is in the private collections of Governor Mitt Romney (MA), Governor Rick Perry (TX), Governor Mike Huckabee (AR), and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. Not long after that, Keith earned a commission from Centercal Properties, for which he produced Imagine, a narrative about a man reading to his granddaughter. Keith’s whimsical figures led to other large commissions including Playful Winds (Brentwood, CA) and I Wonder (Tualatin, OR). He recently completed a commission of former First Lady, Nancy Reagan.
