Betty Branch has a retrospective of her work at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, VA. The exhibition follows the trajectory of Branch’s career, focusing not only on her exploration of female form, rites of passage, and personal experiences, but on her mastery of sculpture in stone, bronze, fiber, ceramic, terracotta, and earthenware. Also on display are Branch’s sketches, maquettes, tools, clippings, and inspirational objects produced and collected throughout her career. Branch is a resident of Roanoke and her works are included the the Taubman Museum’s permanent collection.  The show is up through March 3, 2023.
