Young Sculptors Exhibition
exhibition
National Sculpture Society is pleased to announce the opening of the Young Sculptors Exhibition at the NSS Gallery. The show features the figurative works of 19 contemporary sculptors, age 30 or younger, and is on view January 17 – March 4, 2022 at the midtown gallery.
The NSS Exhibition Committee agreed to extend show opportunities to young sculptors to encourage the work of artists just beginning their careers. A call was placed to the Elected and Fellow members of the organization to recommend artists they may have taught, mentored, or worked with in some capacity in studios or foundries. The artists included in the show are from all parts of the United States and their individual interests and points of view are expressed in the subject matter and styles on display. The Young Sculptors Exhibition showcases the emerging work of this country’s finest young figurative sculptors.
Artists in the show include Austen Brantley, Zofia Chamera, Mariah Morton Cisneros, Jill Cohen-Nuñez, Ryan Fleming, Kiersten Friesner, Bethany Fullerton, Chapman Hamborg, Christopher Kunk, Melanie La May, Amber Lelli, Isaac Marizan, Dauris Martinez, Kelly Micca, Varvara Mitrofanova, Alexandria Trudgen, Vanessa Vestena, Joseph Zovickian and Caroline Zurmely.
This exhibition was made possible with the generous support of the Fantasy Fountain Fund and Michel Langlais.
